Christmas

Well it's safe to say that Christmas this year was one to remember. The holidays usually are but this one more so.

A few weeks ago mom rushed my dad to the hospital and I had no idea why or what was going on. A couple days later my mom told us out dad was going to get a colonoscopy done. I thought about it for a little and it just didn't add up.. Why? My dad wasn't even fifty yet.. Then my mom told me that the doctors thought it was colon cancer. All the symptoms were adding up and it didn't look good. So naturally I freaked out. As much as we fight and don't agree on lots, he's still the only dad I've got and there is no way I'm ready to let him go.
The day of the procedure came and went and we were in limbo for about 4 days. Then about a week ago my dad got the much awaited call and it turns out that the polyps that were found were pre-cancerous. Had they waited a month longer, we would be considering chemo treatments right now.

This cancer scare shed a whole new  light onto the holidays. It's safe to say that we are all noticing the hand of God a lot more in our lives and are incredibly greatful that we get to keep out poppa a little bit longer .
